Our vision is to make Boise, Idaho the most livable city in the country. LIV Boise is an expression of this vision. By focusing on sustainable policies, practices and partnerships, this citywide effort promotes livability across three strategic focus areas:
Lasting Environments, Innovative Enterprises and Vibrant Communities.
For a more complete picture, read our Livability Report.
Recognize, protect and improve the health and sustainability of all our activities, our connections to one another and our natural resources.
Work with individuals, nonprofits and businesses to encourage creativity and collaboration that will promote economic prosperity and improve lives.
Engage citizens and organizations to spark new connections, inspire cooperation and strengthen Boise's rich, community-minded spirit.
The City of Boise will partner with the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation to build a state-of-the-art bike skills park. The new park, which will be located in the basin between Fort Boise Park and Military Reserve, will feature tracks, rollers and other skills elements for mountain bikers of all ages and abilities to learn and improve their skills.
Looking for ways to get involved in your community? Here are some great opportunities for you and your family to volunteer for a variety of programs through the City of Boise.
