Whether you’re interested in planting trees or getting your kids involved, here are a few upcoming and ongoing opportunities to help get you started on your philanthropic goals for 2018!

Releaf Boise with Community Forestry

On April 28, join your fellow Boiseans and help Releaf our beautiful City of Trees! Volunteers will help the city plant trees on public rights-of-way and help improve our community’s quality of life.

Boise Police Department's City Hall Public Assistance Team

Do you enjoy assisting the community and attending public meetings? Do you have an interest in joining the Boise PD? Gain experience while helping your community at the same time. Duties of the assistance team include:

  • Meet and greet general public and meeting attendees
  • Assist with accessibility
  • Liaise with BPD regarding crowd control
  • Assist coordinating emergency response

Zoo Boise Teen Program

Does your teen have an interest in animals, conservation and the environment? Zoo Boise has the perfect opportunity for teens ages 13-17 to gain experience with teaching, leadership and public speaking, all while learning about the animals at our zoo.

Whether you have a green thumb or black thumb, your help is welcomed at Boise Urban Garden School. Help BUGS with general garden maintenance, planting, weeding and harvest. We can even help you improve your skills along the way.

Abandoned Vehicle Assistance

Have you noticed a car or trailer parked for an extended period on a street, but you weren’t sure what you could do about it? Volunteer with the City Clerk under the Abandoned Vehicle Assistance. Volunteers will directly influence their neighborhoods and keep them safe, and will help Boise continue to work toward becoming the most livable city in the country.
