Get a Sneak Peek of the Gorongosa National Park Exhibit
Construction is well underway on a new addition at Zoo Boise and visitors have the chance to book an exclusive behind the scenes tour before the area opens to the general public.
The Goronogosa National Park Exhibit will bring the animals, culture and design of Africa’s famous park to Boise. This is the public’s chance to tour the zoo’s expansion and go inside the exhibits before anyone else.
Most of the buildings are now up, and the Plexiglass windows were installed in the crocodile and otter exhibits. Meanwhile, fencing is starting to go up around the wild dog and hyena exhibits.
Tours are available on February 23 and 24 and March 2. They will be an hour in length and our expert guides will take visitors through the buildings on site, into the new exhibits and highlight new artwork and offerings that will bring Goronogosa National Park to life here in Boise.
Tickets for these tours are $25 per person and are limited. Snag your spot today!
If you plan to take a tour, please note:
- The exhibits are still under construction.
- Few, if any, animals will be in their exhibits at this time. This means you get to explore the inside of the exhibits before the animals do!
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
- The site may be muddy, so dress appropriately.
Zoo Boise remains open during construction. The new Gorongosa National Park Exhibit is scheduled to open to the public in July.
