Kick Off 2019 With Giving Back
Giving back doesn't just have to happen during the holidays. There are many opportunities to give your time to deserving organizations through volunteering. Start your new year off with a new experience through volunteering - here are some ways you can volunteer this year:
BUGS Garden Volunteer
Whether you have a green thumb or black thumb, your help is welcomed at Boise Urban Garden School. Help BUGS with general garden maintenance, planting, weeding and harvest. We can even help you improve your skills along the way.
Zoo Teen Program
Does your teen have an interest in animals, conservation and the environment? Zoo Boise has the perfect opportunity for teens ages 13-17 to gain experience with teaching, leadership and public speaking, all while learning about the animals at our zoo.
Boise Public Library Outreach Services
Help bring library services to community members who are physically unable to get to the library. Volunteers and staff regularly take library materials to homebound persons in retirement apartments, nursing homes, and individual residences in Boise.
Do you have an interest in water conservation and protection? The Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center is perfect for you! Located at the West Boise Water Renewal Facility, the Boise WaterShed promotes water stewardship through exhibits, Public Art, and adult and youth programming. Volunteers are needed for ongoing, seasonal and one-time events.
Boise Senior Center
The Boise Senior Center strives to contribute to the health and well-being of seniors in our community, by offering a variety of services for older adults. Sign up to teach a class, help facilitate an existing program and more!
We have many other volunteer opportunities available. See what other options are available!
